This post on Baahubali is coming really late. It's almost 6 weeks since the release and every person, his grandma and the family pets have seen, discussed and analysed it to death. But I had to write my 2 cents. You see...There was no choice. I was going crazy. I do not know if S.S. Rajamouli really intended half (dare I say 3/4th) the population to go crazy with the drama, the story line, the action sequences or the sheer magnificence of the characters. But he can be sure that the impact of the movie will last for some years to come!  The subtle villainy of Bhallaldev, the open animosity of Bijjaladev, the majesty of Sivagami Devi, the sharp-tongue and intelligence of Devasena and the strength and vulnerability of Amarendra Baahubali provide Rajamouli with bold colours and he has created magic on canvas. Woke up today to yet another disgrace in CWG's chapter.. If I hadn't known better I would have sworn that somebody has deliberately jinxed the games from the beginning ... the foot bridge that was supposed to link one of the car parks to the stadium collapsed or rather as one person put it "..2 clips just gave away.. it was nothing serious.." As we know, this is just the latest of a series of issues marring the CWG ... The other one making the rounds in the News today...  As many as 4 countries have come back with complaints on the unhygeinic conditions of the CWG village ... stray dogs, construction workers defecating openly and in the apartments, cleaning work still going on in certain towers meant for the athletes, exposed electrical wires and the major highlight - construction work still going on when the cut-off date for completion is Sep 23rd 10..( for god's sake that is tomorrow !!)... I feel how I would have felt when I first started writing some 6 years back ... My hands feel rustic when they type in this page... why would they not ? I am writing after almost 1.5 years... Sick and tired of hearing opinions like "Why did they not listen when they were asked not to go to those pubs?" , "It is absolutely correct that they were beaten up... they had it coming to them.."...
