Valentine Magic - Myth or Reality ??!!
Valentine's day has come and gone !! It was just another day
A normal day with only one thing that kept you going on.. Work ...
And one wonders .....
Does it really make any difference to the state of ur heart ? Do people who were 'oh so normal' just the day before suddenly fall in love with each other that day ? Does Valentine Magic really work ?
For the past 24 odd years ( actually the last 6 years - i.e 'Valentine Day' aware years)... I have been waiting for something interesting to happen every Feb 14th... Now do not get me wrong.. I was waiting just for anything interesting to happen .. like some guy proposing to my friend/ getting accepted/ or a girl proposing for a change .. or just any kind of fairy tale to happen just once in life on that day ..U know .. the missing of heartbeats.. the quickening of pulses ... that kind of thing...
I remember the anticipation with which we used to come to college on that day (or was it just from my part...?? I dont know ...!!!)Once the only highlight was a group of guys wearing 'Green' T shirts ... one by one they entered the class just after the bell rang.. (this was to ensure that all girls were inside the class) .... That truely created a stir that time .... and there was this couple who were caught talking with each other (just imagine.. just talking) by our Principal who did a spl rounds on Valentine's day..... Now after coming into a Work environment ..we do not have the benefit of an ongoing class room romance also ..
Hmmm... Love or Romance I feel cannot spring out suddenly from nowhere.. Even before you
declare such things to each other...
It was there hidden somewhere in those
smiles you gave her especially ...
In the brooding thoughts that you had of him...
In the sleepless nights ( people who had been afflicted would vouch for it) you had...
In the tender feelings you had...
In the sudden quickening of pulses when you get a glimpse of him (so many people write about
it .. that I feel it must happen)
In the tears that threaten to spill out without no reason whatsoever...
Those people who are blessed with real love would not wait for a Valentine's day .....
It would not matter if he actually gave you a Rose/Teddy that day..... or if she gave him a razor ridiculously wrapped up in satin & lace ....
People who are in love are capable of creating their own Valentine's Day ... and capable of making their own corner of the world heaven or hell..
And ... if the world wants an extra Magic in the form of Valentine's Day .. who am I to object ??
Call me romantic if you want ... But do write back...
Signing off

amazing..
will read thru ur blog & comment soon...
ne guess who this is?? Felt nostalgic on reading ur blog.
Waise as far as i m concerned, i just dont give a damn to this day..I mean i dont have any antipathy of sorts with Saint Valentine but i dont find any concrete reason for having a special day to shower your love...
But yes..i loved the way u defined the feeling of love..The excitement is not actually in uttering those three words..But in sleepless nights..in reading the eyes...communicating with eyes when there are 15 guys around u..in tears and in pain..
But still..If this particular day gives somebody time to shower praise..to express love and some memories to cherish then why not!!
