Got a chance to watch Krrish .... there is only one word to describe it ...WOW !!....
A cute and sensitive movie ...perfect for children and the child within us... Felt that a new era of movie making has kick ..no ..no.. leap-started in the Indian Film industry ... The kind of techniques used into the making of this movie is awesome and is light years ahead of the camera gimmicks used in the earlier attempts by any other bollywood director to present in the cut-throat bollywood market... Hrithik-Krrish actually jumps out of the silver screen and captures your imagination with his beautiful acting , elegant dancing and the wonderful stunts ..even though computer generated ... could not have been pulled off by any other actor with such aplomb...
True that it has its own minor flaws ... the way Dr. Arya & Rohit (Papa Hrithik) discuss about a Computer that will look into the future sounds a bit childish...Could have sounded better with a few technical jargons thrown in... Yet the vision of that computer & the floating keyboard did look really futuristic even though the actual future shown could have been made more believable in techno terms... The movie is a mixture of the themes of Tarzan - when Krrish jumps over trees & mountains in India ,Matrix - when Krrish bashes up the bad people with the long black coat and plays with bullets in Singapore and very light shades of Superman and Spiderman ...because Krrish is also sensitive and uses his supernatural powers only when he is present in crisis situations... Not the self proclaimed do gooder like Batman...
Priyanka Chopra is a good choice...Her long lean looks are a good match for Hrithik's... There is true magic between Hrithik and Priyanka when they meet for the first time in the woods ..the magic between them is palpable and reminds one of the same kind of magic that used to be the norm in the old classical movies...
They seem perfect for each other ..almost like the beautiful animation movie characters ...the handsome hero totally bewitched by the girl he is holding & the delicate and beautiful heroine with big eyes made speechless by the guy who seems to have appeared from thin air... The background score for this scene has been beautifully composed and I truely enjoyed it... Again the stupid pranks of Kalicharan that Krishna plays on the gullible heroine is outdated and could have been thought out better..still it is so charming that you end up enjoying even that ...
Naseer-Uddin Shah as usual was brilliant as the evil Dr Arya ...but not much of him in the movie... Rohit - Papa Hrithik.. so beautifully acted out ... the facial expressions and the make up showing the slighter and weaker version of the strong son Krrish...You really feel it was done by two different persons..and yeah...Rekha was Rekha ..
I was sitting and thinking what was so good about the movie that urged me to write a post on it ... Just remind yourself the elated feeling you must have had after seeing a Superman movie or a Spiderman movie..or for that matter even a Jackie Chan movie... You feel like flying ... like throwing some punches yourself and bashing up some old enemy ... You feel it was you who was doing all that...
KRRISH captured the essence of innocence and feel good feeling that is so inherent to all those super-hero movies... and did it wonderfully...a relatively very good movie .. a trend setter for other such movies....and a Case study by the IIM in collaboration with Asia Case Research Centre , University of Hong Kong and Harvard Business Case Clearance House .. Phew !! that is a tough act to follow for any other movie director !!
Kudos to the Roshans !!
Expecting a KRRISH - Part 2 soon !!!
Signing off

When will we stop being hypocrites....if we see superman or spiderman jumping and flying we feel good and when an indian superhero does the same thing..we say what the hell....what bullshit movie or whatever...
I believe if we dont make such movies a HIT then no one in bollywood will ever dare to make such movies again...already we r 100 years behind hollywood in terms of technologies used in movies....
anyways i agree that it was a good movie...techno freaks as well as typical indian masala mpvie lovers will like thsi movie...
long live indian cinema

Had been catching up on an Asian film festival for the past week. Your paens in honour of Krrish adds one more to the list of must see's. Though must add that had see Superman returns sometime back and felt a bit cheated, the romance of the earlier version was missing. Hope Krrish can bring me back into the fold of super hero films.
I agree with you the kid in us just becomes dormant never really dies and anything that touches the childlike core gives this great feeling of 'feel good', liberty and a belief in the essential goodness of things.
