Ride on the Mountain....

This is my first posting. I have started writing this bcos my bestest friend had decided that I should write. He was convinced that I'm having so much literary sense in me that he persuaded ( bull dozed is a better word for it..) me to write with some sweet threatenings...

Anyway here goes...

It was holiday last friday ... free from all the regular hassles of work.. free from meetings when you need to really think hard for something to say..and when you are about to say it .. somebody else does...

But yeah we thought that v needed a breather .. & decided to go out somewhere for lunch instead of cooking at home..as usual had skipped breakfast ...No hassle of washing up later...

Friends of my friend had come ....

Gone r the days when I used to fight with Mom for even the slightest suggestion of wearing a better dress ...Dressing up for anything & everything has become the latest craze for us girls now ... Mom should have seen the amount of time I spent in front of the mirror that day...Would have felt nice that afterall I didnt end up as a tomboy...

My room mate & myself dressed up to the hilt for lunch...

Had a nice lunch.. Wasn’t embarrassing at all even though most of us were meeting for the first time .. There were many boy-boy talks that were going on when they thought we weren’t watching.. That was the time I realized guys did more gossiping than girls.. But there were no awkward silences.. Or blank looks..

We then decided we would go somewhere to spend the evening ... The idea of going to Lonavala suddenly popped up on somebody's mind and before we girls could give any excuse of a looming work day..we were bundled up into the cars and were speeding the next moment on the Bombay-Pune expressway....

There is something really nice about this expressway.. The only thing in your mind is the urge to go on and on...(provided you have a somewhat nice car & the right person to go along with )
It may seem an oft-repeated line.. but you need to experience the ride to understand it.. A humble feeling comes to you when you pass by the tunnels .. One is made to wonder .. how come these guys ever had the energy .. or
initiative to do such things….(as reflected by another friend later …)

We had great ideas of seeing the Amby Valley ... the signboards were beckoning to us .. But it became Mission Impossible when somebody said we cannot have a look without prior permission.. We just settled for the Sunset point .. but it was after sunset that we finally reached there..

We sat down on the grass... was really nice to sit like that.. a sense of peace came over... But no not everything can be too good.. it is against Murphy's law … Some really intelligent people were playing loud jarring music...and they had parked their car just near the place we were sitting ...

Loud Music is one of the things that I have started hating nowadays... There used to be a time when everything loud and with beats attracted me.. I guess am in a Transition phase (ah.. finally I have put my blog title somewhere.. hehehe..) ..now... What used to be nice earlier has become really unpleasant these days .. I wonder why ??..

Anyway those people left and some of our snatched peace came back..

One image of that particular night keeps coming back to me.. nothing exceptional... There was one sinister hill.. smaller than the one we were in.. rather a big rock jutting out from nowhere .. was pitch black ..silhouetted against the city lights below us .....gave me the shivers..

It was time to start …after taking some pictures of a crab (from where it came .. we have no idea …) and a baby snake that was lying (after a heavy dinner.. I suppose) on the road… The sad part was we could not get hold of any stick to push the snake to the side…… Still wonder what happened to it …

Winded back down via the same route .. & had dinner at 12:30 am the next day morning .. Overall it was a satisfying Friday …

Actually this became longer than I intended it to .. From next time I will make it shorter….

Signing off….

Sundari

1.First of all..am happy that u started writing..probably it will help me to understand u more that what u r "sometimes"mysterious facial expressions suggest..Remember , One’s talent is of no use if its hidden..
2. Guys gossiping more than gulz..am damn sure that’s not possible.. atleast on mother earth its fairer sex’s deptt!!
3. Transition phase!!thats bound to come to everybody’s life not once but atleast 4 to 5 times in one’s life..Cherish the variations that u are going thru..
4.and finally, it was really nice to be with u all during that wonderful trip..

Hi,
Being the first post it was quite impressive. Actually had couple of questions but should i ask u or should i write here ... hmm ..not sure.
Anyways .. i should seriously say thanks to your friend who forced u to write.. i think he is very much correct.
Regarding gossiping ... i think both the genders are same whatever topic it may be ... its only seen that boys do all that and is shown and rather girls do that and is still hidden.

Finally it was nice trip for me as well till lonavla as well..
